Pears are particularly good if you think your baby may be slightly constipated – if you are still breastfeeding, try drinking some pear juice yourself if your baby is constipated; it really seems to do the trick.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 small carrot
- 1 ripe pear
METHOD
- Peel the carrot and cut into small dice. Cook in a small pan of boiling water until the pieces are just tender (approximately 3-4 minutes). Alternatively, steam over a pan of boiling water (approximately 5 minutes). Drain.
- Peel and core the pear and cut into small pieces. Put them into a small pan with 2 tbsp water and cook until just softened (approximately 5 minutes), depending on the pear’s ripeness.
- Whiz the pear and carrot together with a blender or food processor until smooth.
